"Granth at Taj Santacruz , Mumbai is a rare gem of a bookstore with an absolute legend of a staff member!

I had the most wonderful experience at the Granth , and I had to leave a review to specifically commend one of its staff member Mr Shubham Mishra for his customer service that was nothing short of masterful.

The store itself is a treasure trove—beautifully lit, impeccably clean, and so well-organized that you feel welcomed the moment you step inside. It’s clear a lot of care goes into curating the selection. They have an incredible range of books for every age group, from whimsical children's picture books to thought-provoking literary fiction including a delightful collection of sacred artefacts, tarot cards, and other unique items interspersed throughout. It gives the place a very special, almost magical atmosphere.

While i was busy browsing through the sections of my interest, without being intrusive in the slightest; Mr Shubham Mishra simply observed from a respectful distance, clearly trying to gauge my interests without disturbing my flow. It was a subtle art—distant, unobtrusive observation—and it was incredibly effective.

After a few minutes, he politely approached. Without any pressure or small talk, he simply said, "If you're interested in that author, you might also appreciate these," and gently placed a set of related books on a table besides me .They were all perfect suggestions, one that showed he truly understood the theme I was exploring.

Then, he did something I wish every bookseller would do: he simply , smiled, and vanished as quietly as he had appeared giving me the needed space and silence to browse through the books, to read the first few pages, and to decide for myself if it was the right fit. There was no hovering, no sales pitch—just expert guidance delivered with the utmost respect for the reader's private journey.

This level of attentive, intelligent, and graceful service is incredibly rare. He didn't just sell me the books; he enhanced my entire experience and deepened my love for browsing physical bookstores.
